CUTIEFLY

This is the next Pokemon on a long list that my daughter has given me.  Cutiefly is the basic form of Ribombee, which I have already made a plush of.  This pattern includes both color lists for Ribombee and Shiny Ribombee.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  White, gold (perfect pink), black, and warm brown (shocking pink).
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With white, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 3: 2 sc in same sc as slip st, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc.  (24)
Rd 4: slip st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as slip st, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 4 sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times.  (32)
Rd 5: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc.  (36)
Rd 6: sc in next sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc) 3 times, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc.  (40)
Rds 7-16: sc in each sc around.  (40)  Change to white after Rd 16.

Rd 22: Working in front loops only, (slip st in next sc, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, skip next sc) around.
Rd 23: Working both loops of Rd 21 and working over slip sts, sc in each sc around.  (40)
Rd 24: (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (32)
Rd 25: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 26: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (16)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 27: sc2tog around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 27, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)
Rd 2: Working in free loops of foundation ch of Rd 1, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, working in sc of Rd 1, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider white and warm brown eye spots on EYES.  Sew EYES to HEAD.

WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With taupe, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next sc, change to white, sc in next ch, change to taupe, sc in next 2 ch.  (5)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, change to white, 3 sc in next sc, change to taupe, sc in next 2 sc.  (7)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, change to white, sc in next 3 sc, change to taupe, sc in next 2 sc.  (7)

Rw 1: Holding both WINGS together and working both thicknesses of foundation ch, attach white, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, slip st in next ch, ch 7, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 5 ch, skip next ch, slip st in next ch, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, slip st in next ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew WINGS to BODY.

ANTENNA:
Fringe a piece of white yarn center of forehead.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With black, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch, slip st in first sc, ch 20.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew LEGS to BODY.

NOSE:
Rw 1: With taupe, ch 7, slip st in second ch from hook, slip st in next ch, sc in next 4 ch.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSE to BODY.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I am using it to make a gift but I'm trying it in thread crochet. I have a question-for the body, it says to change to white after Rd 16, but at what point before that do you stop using white yarn?

    1. For future reference, I went on ahead and switched colors at the end of Round 3

      Delete
