GENGAR

Pokemon have become extremely popular across the world.  Gengar is the stage 2 Evolution of one of my daughter’s favorite Pokemon – Gastly.  At some point, I will eventually make Haunter – Gastly’s Stage 1 Evolution.  This pattern includes the color lists for both Gengar and Shiny Gengar.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny alternative in parenthesis):  Amethyst (Greybeard), white, red, and black.
E crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With amethyst, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around.  (36)
Rd 8: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (42)

SMALL BACK SPIKE (S):

Rd 3: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SMALL BACK SPIKE to BODY using picture above as reference stuffing before closing.

Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc.  (4)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc2tog.  (4)

Rw 17: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc2tog.  (4)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Using black, embroider black lines on MOUTH to separate teeth.  Sew MOUTH to BODY.
